Generally when a band comes back to town touring behind the same album, it’s because they’re playing a bigger venue after winning over more fans. CHVRCHES did things a bit different earlier this week, with a very sold-out three night run at the 9:30 Club for the latter part of their Screen Violence tour. It was the band’s first appearance at the club since way back in 2014.
Lead singer Lauren Mayberry was decked out in a short red dress with oversized shoulder pads and led the band through a set very similar to the one they played at The Anthem in November of last year. On June 5, the first of the three sold-out nights, CHVRCHES played all the expected hots like “Leave A Trace,” “Miracle,” “The Mother We Share, “He Said She Said,” and many more.

Don’t fret if you weren’t able to score tickets this time around, the band just announced even more dates for this tour that will bring them to Richmond and Norfolk in late July and early August.
