Season Record: 4-6-5 (17 points)
After a decent draw at Houston (we’ll take the point), your D.C. United return to RFK Stadium this Wednesday, June 22nd to host the New England Revolution.
The United are 1-1-0 against the 6th place Revolution this year and a mere two points back, so a positive result would vault them back into playoff consideration.
I don’t have words for the United’s shocking US Cup ouster on June 15th, other than to say now they can focus on making the MLS playoffs.
The biggest weakness this year is the goal scoring. With 14 goals in 15 games, the United ranks 18th (out of 20 teams) overall. Their defense is solid, tied for 3rd overall in Goals Against (16)
Wednesday’s game is the only home tilt until late July, so take advantage!
