UK music icon Limahl releases the festive single and video “One Wish For Christmas.” The holiday-themed track is an update to his previously -released song “London for Christmas” (originally released in 2012), reflecting the effect that the COVID-19 pandemic has had.

Around Town: Funk Parade to Go Virtual in 2021

After being forced to cancel the 2020 Funk Parade, The MusicianShip announced it is bringing the festival back for 2021 with a hybrid experience.

With a timeline for widespread vaccine access still uncertain, Funk Parade will forego its traditional Parade, Day Festival, and Night Festival in favor of virtual and smaller, socially-distanced events.

Berlin-based dark pop-rock songstress Laura Carbone released her third album, Laura Carbone – Live at Rockpalast on Dec. 4. The live recorded album was mixed by Scott von Ryper from The Jesus and Mary Chain and mastered by Phillip Wesling at Original Mastering in Hamburg, with no overdubs whatsoever, and reflects Laura’s unique brand of “Noisy Dreamadelica.”

After releasing the album’s lead single, Laura now follows up with “Cellophane Skin,” an empowering confession of sensitivity and a powerful statement on self-nurturing and on releasing rage and anger.

Gorillaz, the biggest virtual band on the planet, make a live return this weekend with three separate fully live shows performed from the basement of Kong Studios on the Saturday, Dec. 12, and Sunday, Dec. 13.

Gorillaz Song Machine Live From Kong is a full scale production blending exciting real time performance with Jamie Hewlett’s unique animation. The Gorillaz 14-piece band, led by Damon Albarn with 2D, Noodle, Murdoc Niccals, and Russel Hobbs, will also be joined by some very special guests.
