California DJ Seven Lions, born Jeff Montalvo, has had a busy year! At the beginning of the year, he established his own record label, Ophelia, and promptly released the single “Calling You Home.” He released a bunch more music throughout the year, and he’s coming to play at Echostage on Saturday, Nov. 17.

Hello everyone, and welcome to a special edition as we review Porter Robinson and friends, as they performed under their new sound Virtual Self, at Echostage recently. Porter Robinson alone is already an extremely talented act to watch so we could only imagine what his new style and performance would show us on this crisp summer night!

Hello Everyone and WOW what a show we have to share with you today! We recently traveled to one of our favorite playgrounds in Echostage to witness the beautifully talented Australian called Alexandra Sholler, better known as Alison Wonderland.
The block was flooded with people ready for the artist to take them on a journey as hundreds of fans eagerly awaited entrance into the venue as the bass bumps through the streets of Queen Chapel. It should be no surprise then that this was the second SOLD OUT night at this venue for the final show of her “Awake” Tour on Sept. 1.
Australian DJ Alison Wonderland, born Alexandra Sholler, released Awake, her second studio album, in April via EMI Music. It of course hit #1 on the US Top Dance/Electronic albums chart. This weekend, Alison Wonderland will perform two nights at Echostage. The first night is sold out, but tickets are still available for Saturday, Sept. 1.

Porter Robinson has developed a new concept, Virtual Self. With this new identity, Porter revels in his love of early ’00s visuals to “combine three tropes from the period that didn’t overlap much at the time: digital abstract, arcane magic design, and digital grunge, all into a single early-aughts flavor.”
With a show at Echostage on Monday, Sept. 3, Porter will bring Virtual Self to DC.

Steve Aoki released Steve Aoki Presents Kolony, his fourth studio album and a #1 debut on the Electronic Album charts, last summer via Dim Mak Records and Ultra Records. Now, the Grammy-nominated DJ and producer will launch his North American Kolony Tour here in DC at Echostage on Saturday, Feb. 10!

Not too long ago, I was pleased to have been graced with some of the boldest sounds of house. Dirtybird, the illustrious house music label, has been around for almost 20 years, holstering 60 artists. Last month, they blessed us with a tag team set from five of their stars, including Ardalan, Walker & Royce, Justin Martin, Shiba San, and their founder Claude VonStroke. The crowd was anxious to see this jam packed session of music at Echostage.
