The Twilight Sad will release It Won’t Be Like This All the Time, the band’s fifth studio album, in January via Rock Action Records. The Scottish rockers are touring in advance of the record, and they perform at U Street Music Hall on Saturday, Nov. 3.

Richard Butler (vocals) and Tim Butler (bass) took The Psychedelic Furs, the outstanding English neo-psychedelic outfit that practically defined a generation, to the Robert E. Johnny Marr blasted into The Fillmore Silver Spring recently, and Jason Nicholson shot the show! Johnny was in great form, and the former guitarist of The Smiths wasn’t shy about playing tunes from that band, including the likes of “Bigmouth Strikes Again,” “The Headmaster Ritual,” and “How Soon Is Now?,” among others.

Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds recently released a live EP — Distant Sky – Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds Live in Copenhagen. The band took that EP from their celebrated live tour in 2017, and thankfully they are touring again right now with a stop at The Anthem on Thursday, Oct. 25.
