Central Michel Richard (1001 Pennsylvania Ave. NW, DC) hosted a full house for Bastille Day last week, serving up a $55 three-course menu along with specialty cocktails, wine, and beer for Francophiles and foodies seeking to celebrate French independence day.
As guests filled the restaurant and bar, they enjoyed music from the Blue Room Jazz Band, a quartet that played from the lounge in the restaurant’s entrance.
A small gaggle of VIPs sampled cocktails including Central’s East-West Mai Thai, Hemingway Fizz, and Pink Gin Negroni as well as small bites representative of the larger Central menu, including tuna burger sliders, deviled eggs, and chicken nuggets made from the same recipe as the restaurant’s famed buttermilk fried chicken.
Of course, Central Michel Richard is open seven days a week with a happy hour Monday through Friday from 5-7pm. And Central offers a three-course prix-fixe menu for only $35.50 for pre- and post-theater dining if you’re heading to nearby National, Warner, or Ford’s Theaters.
Here are some pictures of the food offerings from Bastille Day on Thursday, July 14!
