The Infamous Stringdusters, a band that pleasantly continues to defy expectations will release Rise Sun, their new record, on April 5 via Tape Time Records. That same day, the band performs at 9:30 Club!
After winning the 2018 Grammy Award for Bluegrass Album of the Year with the record Laws of Gravity, Andy Falco (guitar), Chris Pandolfi (banjo), Andy Hall (dobro), Jeremy Garrett (fiddle), and Travis Book (double bass) didn’t slow down.
“Rise Sun was sparked by the feeling of something better, more awareness, and more compassion,” Andy Hall said. “It’s a message of taking care of each other, our planet, and ourselves.”

Introduced by the high energy, banjo-powered title-track, and culminating with a heartfelt send-off with the track “Truth and Love,” the record sails into an uncharted territory — moored by the group’s expressive patchwork of rock, jazz, funk, country, old-time, and more.
“The world is polarized,” Andy Falco said. “This is a reminder of what’s really important in life-seeking the truth, find your love, look up high, and love Above. Our music gives us an opportunity to bring some light into the world that can be dark sometimes.”
