One of the many personas of producer and designer Seth Haley, Com Truise will perform at Union Stage on Friday, April 12, presented in conjunction with Songbyrd Music House & Record Cafe.
An “admitted synth obsessive and maker of an experimental and bottom-heavy style he calls ‘mid-fi synth-wave, slow-motion funk,’” Com Truise produces “synth- and sci-fi-obsessed records” that, despite being “undoubtedly influenced by his parents’ record collections and old-faded product design,” bubble with “hints of Joy Division, New Order, and Cocteau Twins…[and] somehow, Com Truise sounds both familiar and uncanny, and always beautifully handmade.”
Listen to “Existence Schematic” off the forthcoming album Persuasion System, to be released on May 17:

“[E]lectronic producer Seth Haley’s work under his most well-known pseudonym, Com Truise, is arguably the closest you can come to a TRON-like experience of total immersion,” said Pitchfork.
