Canadian indie-folk artist Cat Clyde is hitting the road for a headline USA tour, and she’ll be appearing at the Songbyrd Music House on Monday, Oct. 23. The tour follows the release of Down Rounder, Cat’s third studio album.
Clyde’s set will feature songs from Down Rounder, which was released earlier this year to strong critical buzz. Under the Radar says of the album, “pulling from roughly hewn strands of alt country, folk, blues, and acoustic punk, [Clyde is] offering a record that is raw and worn, yet also moving in its subtleties.”

With her powerful voice and powerful lyrics, audiences and critics have compared Clyde to the late Sinead O’Connor. Nylon has called Clyde “a musical force to be reckoned with.” Her last appearance in DC, opening for Lissie at the 9:30 Club, left the audience stunned and impressed with the power of her songs.
Still in her 20s, Cat Clyde on the rise, and you won’t be able to catch her at such an intimate environment for long.
