Atlanta rapper Kodie Shane joined Trippie Redd on a tour stop at Echostage recently on the heels of releasing a new single, “No Rap Kap,” featuring Trippie. Chris Castillo was there to shoot the show, which also featured BlocBoy JB!
“Over the years, Trippie and I have always had a crazy creative space,” Kodie told The FADER about the collaboration. “It’s ever growing and super organic with no real destination in mind… I can truly say we trust one another in the studio and that’s so rare. In my opinion, this is a great representation of both of our styles collided. We’ve created a lot of shit, but this joint walks us into another realm.”

Kodie and Trippie previoulsy collaborated on the 2018 fan-favorite single “Love & Drugz II.” At Echostage on Feb. 16, the performers complemented each other as a fervent crowd welcomed them to the stage. Trippie, born Michael Lamar White IV, dedicated about half his show to A Love Letter to You 4, his fourth mixtape, which inspired his Love Me More Tour.
In addition to new tunes, Kodie drew from her full-length debut, 2018’s Young HeartThrob, for her set. She’s working on new material to be released later this year.
