Burdensome it must be for a band to refresh or augment itself once it’s established an inviting and marked sound.
But Real Estate has shown fortitude and a careful attention to detail across its half dozen studio albums, including Daniel, released on Domino in late February.
With the newest recording, and a spring run of shows dubbed the Infinite Jangle Tour, this steadfast group from New Jersey and now headquartered in the Big Apple builds its case as a standalone outfit on the bustling American indie rock scene.
Real Estate sold out the 9:30 Club this past Monday night, performing a radiant set of melodious compositions cut from the cloth this group began stitching back in 2008.
Listen to Real Estate’s newest studio album, Daniel, released in February to Domino, via Spotify:
Today it’s made up of Martin Courtney (vocals, guitar), Alex Beeker (vocals, bass), Matt Kallman (keys), Julian Lynch (guitar), and Sammi Niss (drums). And on the evening of April 15, the band presented a large portion of latest record along with some of the favorite tracks that continue to help Real Estate hook new listeners far and wide.
