Hailing from the depths of Phoenix, Arizona, Spirit Adrift are making their way through the United States with High Command and Haunt. I caught them recently at their DC date, held at Songbyrd Music House, a venue that is part record store, part concert hall.

Recently gracing DC, New York hardcore legends Sick of It All performed at the Rock and Roll Hotel. Upon entering the venue, you could sense the excitement of the day-one fans that filled out the dimly lit room. Sporting leagues of tattoos on their arms, necks, and legs dressed in hardcore shirts left and right, you could tell these fans were meant to be here.

The Polish death metal group from Metal Blade Records graced Baltimore’s grungy streets recently, and I was all for it. They stopped by Baltimore Soundstage as a part of the Devastation on the Nation Tour and ravaged their way through a grueling set. It was a perfect way to set the tone for the rest of the bands on this tour, including Incantation, Belphegor, and Dark Funeral. Continue Reading
