Last weekend, Echostage welcomed some of Matt Relton, better known as the Kidnap Kid. It was a great night with a great crowd filled with great music. Kidnap Kid brought the crowd to its “happy place” with his melodic tracks, smooth transitions, and upbeat atmosphere made for a great start to the night!

Check out this short clip here from Kidnap Kid’s set on YouTube!

I have to give Kidnap Kid this rating only due to certain aspects missed in his production. The set from Sheffield’s spinner is keeping him afloat as he spun us into the right direction.

Earlier this year, Kidnap Kid left Black Butter Records, where he made his name with songs like “Vehl” — a song iTunes called the Best Electronic Song of 2012. He left to start his own label, Birds That Fly Records.

In February, he also released new music including the excellent “Moments.” It features vocals from Leicester’s Leo Stannard.

Listen to or buy the single “Birds That Fly” on Soundcloud:

Kidnap Kid performs next tonight in Toronto, Canada, but he comes back to the United States on Oct. 29 to play a Halloween show in Los Angeles!

The night was still young and the U.K. Takeover continued with Duke Dumont. The founder of the Blasè Boys Club brought his deep vibes track after track.

High energy, deep house and (for lack of a better word) hella good vibes! The Harford house DJ began with one of his slow melodic classics and ended with the crowd singing and dancing simultaneously!

Duke Dumont’s production was a spectacle to watch but seeing is believing!

Watch out a short clip from Duke Dumont’s set!

Thanks for checking in and until next time!
