Hey everybody welcome back! This week I had the pleasure to review the high energy, banana-enthused duo DadaLife! The Swedish duo, Olle Cornéer and Stefan Engblom, took D.C by storm at Echostage on Saturday, and I was delighted to be apart of what will surely go down as one of the most eventful, jaw dropping shows I’ve reviewed this year thus far!
The spring night began in anticipation as fans awaited from high in the lawn to deep in the pit for Joel Zimmerman’s performance. And Joel, better known as Deadmau5, delivered a performance I’ll always remember at Merriweather Post Pavilion on April 8.
Lodewijk Fluttert, better known as Bakermät, came to Echostage on Friday, April 7 with a partner for a live set filled with saxophone solos!
It was warm winter Wednesday with a West Coast native bringing the heat! The line was long but in good spirits as the bass start welcomed the crowds inside for a DJ performance by G Jones.
The young talent from California — Greg Jones, better known as G Jones — had a bad start. He faced a few difficulties initially during transition and the audience was briefly left in silence. G Jones got his set started shortly afterward and proceeded to bring the house down!
Krewella brought their energy with them on this Sweatbox Tour performance last Thursday at a sold-out U Street Music Hall!
The tour name does it justice as you can see the blood, sweat, and tears they put into their music. The Chicago duo was joined by their touring drummer, Frank Zummo, who had breathtaking solos and kept up with the consistently fast-paced beats dropped by Jahan and Yasmine Yousaf — aka Krewella!

Last weekend, Echostage welcomed some of Matt Relton, better known as the Kidnap Kid. It was a great night with a great crowd filled with great music. Kidnap Kid brought the crowd to its “happy place” with his melodic tracks, smooth transitions, and upbeat atmosphere made for a great start to the night!
At the end of July, the nation’s capital welcomed two of Hollands greatest exports Willem van Hanegem & Wardt van der Harst (W&W) with support from the russian talent Arty.
The Arty party was a great time for all! He started the night off with a melodic string of songs flirting with the trance lovers and then warming up the hearts for the house hopefuls. Check out the begininning of his set in this clip below
