Dirty Honey brought their California rock and roll to Rams Head Live! in Baltimore recently and played a smoking set showcasing music from their brand new album, Can’t Find the Brakes.
Tamia Carter aka Flo Milli recently brought the heat to a cold fall night with her Thanks For Coming Here, Ho Tour at The Fillmore Silver Spring.
The Atlantis recently played host to New York’s legendary post-hardcore band, Quicksand. This tour marked the 30th anniversary of the band’s debut album, Slip. In honor of that achievement, Quicksand is playing the album in its entirety. The band played the album in tracklist order.
Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real are bringing their “country soul funk” to the 9:30 Club on Sunday, Nov. 12. They’re touring behind their latest record, Sticks & Stones, which has earned them some of their strongest reviews. The Austin Chronicle writes, “Self-produced, Nelson noted that he wanted songs that could move a crowd, which Sticks and Stones delivers in sound and ethos.” All Music says the album finds them “stripping away trippy affectations so they can concentrate on such earthy pleasures as blues boogies, barroom dances, campfire singalongs, and copious amounts of liquor.”
Sidney Bird, the up-and-coming pop sensation, made her mark in Washington, DC, with an energetic performance at Comet Ping Pong on Nov. 2. Touring to promote her latest album, Snowbird, Sidney’s music reflects her blend of western influences and east coast alt-pop vibes, which she playfully coins as “Cactus Pop.”
I recently had the pleasure of attending the 10-year anniversary of the Love and War show at The Fillmore Silver Spring, featuring the talented Tamar Braxton. From the moment the show started, it was clear that this was going to be an energetic and captivating performance.
Sam Bush Returns to The Barns at Wolf Trap for a Sold-Out Show

“Good evening music lovers,” is how Sam Bush recently welcomed the sold-out audience, which included many members who could identify the 45 rpm spindle adapter on his shirt, to The Barns at Wolf Trap. If you weren’t a Bluegrass fan when they took the stage you almost certainly were by the end of the evening. Built from two restored 18th-century barns, The Barns at Wolf Trap is a popular intimate venue with excellent acoustics that hosts top musical acts of all genres.
Experimental folk band Healing released Drif, their third full-length studio album, in 2022, and the band recently toured the USA to play songs from acrsso their catalog.
They appeared in Baltimore to perform at the Hippodrome Theatre on Oct. 19, and Katherine Gaines were there to photograph the show!
