It was a special treat recently, having Local Natives perform two nights at the 9:30 Club. From the roaring excitement from the crowd, I knew that it was going to be a great show.

Indie rockers Local Natives released Violet Street, their fourth studio album, via Loma Vista Recordings recently. The band performs at 9:30 Club for two nights — Monday, June 3, and Tuesday, June 4 — and you can still buy tickets for both!

Los Angeles indie rock band Local Natives have released three acclaimed albums, and vocalist and keyboardist Kelcey Ayer remains a critical component of the band’s infectious sound. He’s also gone solo, however, and he visited DC9 on Dec. 6 as Jaws of Love to perform songs from the project’s debut album, Tasha Sits Close to the Piano.
