Trance DJ Paul van Dyk recently released a new single “Touched by Heaven,” and he’s spinning it in clubs on a 12-date North American tour presented by Insomnia’s Dreamstate trance brand. PvD will appear locally at Echostage in DC on Saturday, April 29.

Music lovers around the world were shocked when Paul suffered a terrible accident, falling through a hole in the stage during a performance in The Netherlands in February 2016. Although not fully back to 100 percent, Paul has made a remarkable recovery, and this will be his first major tour since the accident.

And performing on tour is clearly something Paul savors. Over his many tours, the German producer has traveled a distance equal to 58 trips around the world, exceeding the total distance traveled by the Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, U2, and others, according to a TravelBird survey.

Among his travels, Paul has been a regular performer at Dreamstate events around the world. Since being established in Southern California in 2015, Dreamstate has presented events in six major cities across four countries. Dreamstate recently announced the its first-ever branded stage at North America’s largest dance music festival and Insomniac’s flagship event, EDC Las Vegas 2017.

Paul has been going strong since he began DJing in 1991 and particularly since the release of his debut album 45 RPM in 1994. Let’s celebrate much more PvD yet to come!
