Sir Robert Bryson Hall II, better known as the rapper Logic, released Everybody, his third studio album, on May 5 via Visionary Music Group and Def Jam Recordings. Logic then launched Everybody’s Tour, which arrives locally tonight, Aug. 2, at MGM National Harbor. (It’s a bit of a homecoming as Logic was raised in Gaithersburg, Maryland!)

In February, The Brian Jonestown Massacre released its 16th album, Don’t Get Lost, only four months after their 15th album! R&B and soul vocalists Dru Hill have reported working on a new album, which would be their fifth overall and their first since 2010’s InDRUpendence Day, released on Kedar Massenburg’s label Kedar Entertainment Group. While the gents are hard at work, they also are hitting the road with a date at the Howard Theatre on Friday, Aug. 18.

Last weekend, revelers gathered at Marvin’s Mountaintop in Masontown, West Virginia, for the second annual Deep Roots Mountain Revival to enjoy Americana, bluegrass, and more with headliners Brandi Carlile, Dr. Dog, and Lettuce. Our friend Chester Simpson was there and took some photos of some of his favorite bands!
