Danish electropop singer Mø recently performed in a sold-out show at the 9:30 Club, bringing joyful music to fans eager to sing along, stomp, and dance. Known for hits like “Lean On” and other musical collaborations, Mø showed that she’s capable of standing on her own as a pop singer with catchy songs such as “Kamikaze” and “Nights With You.”

Steep Canyon Rangers released Out in the Open, their most recent album, in 2018 via Ramseur Records. The North Carolina bluegrass band is on tour with a stop at The Hamilton Live on Friday, Jan. 25.

Upstate is a unique collective from Hudseon Valley, New York, with three female vocalists and guitarists — Melanie Glenn, Mary Kenney, and Allison Olender. On Feb. 8, Upstate will publish Healing, the band’s sophomore album, but first they will open for The Lil Smokies at Union Stage on Friday, Jan. 25.

In August, Rolling Stone listed Town Mountain in its 10 Country Artists You Need to Know. Although the band has been around for a more than a decade, and it has won International Bluegrass Music Association Awards, it’s reaching a new level on the back of its latest album, 2018’s New Freedom Blues, released last year, which casts a sonic bridge between bluegrass and Americana. Town Mountain justified that new level of respect in a show at The Hamilton Live on Friday.

The Wood Brothers have a rare combination of musical training, a diverse skill set rooted in classics, and an outright sense of fun. All three were on display in the first of two shows at 9:30 Club recently.

The Dustbowl Revival and Hot Club of Cowtown have joined forces for their Across the Great Divide Tour, underway now, where they will perform songs from the first two albums by The Band, as well as some of their own material. The Across the Great Divide Tour lands locally at The Barns at Wolf Trap for a matinee show and for an evening show on Saturday, Feb. 2.
