Spafford dropped a studio album, For Amusement Only, last year — a rare move for the storied jam band, which focuses on its live output. Spafford is playing live at 9:30 Club on Saturday, Feb. 9, giving DC an opportunity to see what all of the buzz is about.

Finding an opening band for Pop Evil seems like it may be difficult task due to the fact that the band’s songs can vary so greatly from melodic to heavy. But Savage After Midnight were more than up for the challenge at Baltimore Soundstage recently.

The crowd at the Baltimore Soundstage did not seem to care that it was a Sunday, as they packed the venue and created a club full of energy for the headliners of the night, Pop Evil.
