Swedish heavy metal rockers Sabaton released The Last Stand, their eighth studio album, in 2016 via Nuclear Blast. The Swedes now invade the United States, as they are on a co-headlining tour with Kreator, their German thrash metal friends, and the two bands perform at The Fillmore Silver Spring on Wednesday, March 7.

“Born in DC and raised by the world,” Eli Lev proclaims on his website, and the proof is in his sound. The folk musician performs as a solo artist and with his new band, The Fortunes Found, whose bluesy nouveau folk is truly something to behold on stage, as seen at Sofar Sounds on Monday.

Critically acclaimed Southern rock band the Dixie Dregs will perform at the Lincoln Theatre in DC on Wednesday, March 7, in a stop on their Dawn of the Dregs Tour. The national headlining tour marks the first time in 40 years the original band performs together on one stage.

Legendary metal guitarist Michael Schenker got his start in the Scorpions in 1971. He left them to perform lead guitar for UFO in the 1970s. And then he formed Michael Schenker Group, which underwent various incarnations through the 2000s.

Now, Michael Schenker is back with Michael Schenker Fest, a group releasing its first studio album, titled Resurrection, on March 2 via Nuclear Blast! To celebrate, Michael launches a North American Tour at The Fillmore Silver Spring on Tuesday, March 6.
