Belgian/American group Lords of Acid brought their odd blend of electronic/dance/acid house/hard rock/industrial music to Baltimore Soundstage recently. I was there to photograph the show!

Pop icon Adam Ant performs his landmark, solo album Friend or Foe for the first time, live in its entirety, throughout the USA from Sept. 4 to October 1. The tour includes a stop at the Lincoln Theatre on Monday, Sept. 23.

In 2017, Los Angeles punks Jawbreaker made a lot of fans happy when the band announced they would reunite for RiotFest. The reunion took hold for the reconstituted group, and Jawbreaker now performs at The Anthem on Thursday, March 28.

Legendary punk-poets The Flesh Eaters came to town to play Union Stage recently for what may be their only-ever DC show. But they brought along as openers rock trio Porcupine, who we hope to see a lot more often in the future. Jason Nicholson took some pictures of Porcupine.

For a punk band, it might seem strange to speak of the almost-reverential attitude of their fans. But The Flesh Eaters were never a typical punk band, even in their younger days. Their tracks were always longer, with songwriter and lead vocalist Chris D. (Desjardins) drawing from influences in beat poetry and genre cinema, such as noir, Westerns, and horror. He drew on those influences again in a rare DC show at Union Stage recently.

Young Los Angeles hard rockers Badflower released the band’s debut album, OK, I’M SICK, in February via Big Machine/John Varvatos Records. The quartet promptly found themselves on tour with Nothing More at The Fillmore Silver Spring recently, and Paivi got some pix!
