Few bands command the power and precision of new wave pioneers Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark (OMD), who stopped by 9:30 Club for a sold-out performance on March 6. Parklife DC previously published a review of that show, but we have a second set of pictures to share, and there’s no such thing as too much OMD in our opinion.

I’ve been a Dixie Dregs fan for as long as I can remember. I’ve still got their original LPs in my vinyl collection and have seen the band perform several times over the years. So, when I first read that the original line-up was reuniting for the Dawn of the Dregs Tour, I made sure that I would be at The Lincoln Theatre on Wednesday.

Synthpop quartet Ggoolldd released Teeth, their latest EP, in December on Roll Call Records, and now they find themselves on the road opening for none other than synthpop legends Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark. Paivi snapped the band in performance opening OMD at 9:30 Club on Tuesday! (Check out our Parklife DC review of OMD.)

Andy McCluskey moved like a man possessed. As frontman for Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark, Andy danced up a storm during a sold-out show at 9:30 Club on Tuesday. And with that distinctive dancing, Andy threw wide his arms, hugged himself, and generally windmilled around the stage frenetically.
