Kick off the fall season this weekend with the Watermelon Park Festival, one of our region’s most exciting Americana and roots music festivals, at Watermelon Park Campground (3322 Lockes Mille Rd, Berryville, Virginia) on Thursday, Sept. 21, through Sunday, Sept. 24. Chris Robinson Brotherhood released Any Way You Love, We Know How You feel, its fourth studio, via Silver Arrow Records in 2016 and followed up with an EP, If You Lived Here, You Would Be Home by Now, in November. Chris Robinson and his bandmates are performing at 9:30 Club on Saturday, Aug. 26, and you can win tickets to go with Parklife DC!

Last weekend, revelers gathered at Marvin’s Mountaintop in Masontown, West Virginia, for the second annual Deep Roots Mountain Revival to enjoy Americana, bluegrass, and more with headliners Brandi Carlile, Dr. Dog, and Lettuce. Our friend Chester Simpson was there and took some photos of some of his favorite bands!

The fourth annual River and Roots Festival, hosted by Shepherds Ford Productions, was held outside of Berryville, Virginia (not far from Winchester) on Friday, June 23, through Sunday, June 25 with a lineup of bluegrass, Americana, and roots musicians. Check out these pictures of the festival!
