California thrashers Suicidal Tendencies have a lot on their plate right now! Mike Muir aka Cyco Miko (as he’s known on his solo albums) and company will release STill Cyco Punk After All These Years on Friday, Sept. 7, and they will play an anniversary show at 9:30 Club on the very next day! On Sept. 8, Suicidal Tendencies will perform their self-titled debut album in full during their show at 9:30 Club.

Thrash metal band Testament plans to release a new album, their 12th studio record, in 2019. But first — the tours! Testament were one of a number of bands supporting Slayer on their farewell tour. That tour spilled over into a headlining run for tourmates Lamb of God — and Testament is along for the ride!

Testament opened Lamb of God at The Fillmore Silver Spring on Monday, and Paivi got the pix to prove it.

In 2016, Anthrax celebrated 35 years as a band, and released For All Kings, their 11th studio album, via Megaforce/Nuclear Blast. The album debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Hard Rock Chart, and #9 on the Top 200, becoming Anthrax’s highest-charting album in more than two decades.

Blasting out of that commercial success, Anthrax have been touring hard for the past two years, recently opening the farewell tour for their metal comrades in Slayer, and now doing the same for Lamb of God. Anthrax lit up The Fillmore Silver Spring on Monday in their tour with Lamb of God, and Paivi shot the show.

Over the summer, Lamb of God supported metal legends Slayer on a farewell tour that visited the DC metro area. Earlier this week, the heavy metal quintet from Richmond, Virgina, returned to headline The Fillmore Silver Spring, and they brought along tourmates from the Slayer good-bye show — Anthrax and Testament.

Lamb of God thrashed the hell outta The Fillmore, and Paivi captured the show on film.

Slayer recently said goodbye in a farewell tour at Jiffy Lube Live in Bristow, Virginia, and the thrash metal legends brought along friends — including Anthrax, Behemoth, and Lamb of God — to rock the night away with them. Ben Eisendrath was there to photograph hair and fingers flying as the four bands kicked ass on their guitars.
