What’s up everyone! Welcome back for another musical journey through my eyes. Recently, I had the pleasure of reviewing Tritonal on their tour at Soundcheck for the 10th year of their Enhanced Music Label. Chad Cisneros and Dave Reed chose intimate venues to do their 10-year tour, bringing it back to the Austin based duo’s roots.

Jesse Dayton released The Outsider, his new solo album, on June 8 via Blue Elan Records. The Americana guitarist is on tour opening Reckless Kelly, and they visit The State Theatre in Falls Church, Virginia, on Friday, June 15.

dashdine01 Friendly faces from World Central Kitchen reminded us we were supporting a good cause, not simply having the night out of the year, during Dine-N-Dash 2018.

Thirty of DC’s best restaurants banded together in a night of revelry and charity to benefit World Central Kitchen, the feed-the-world nonprofit founded by Chef José Andrés, with bottomless food and drink on Wednesday for what must ever be the best time in DC.

Every song by Midge Ure feels like a daring, romantic undertaking of epic proportions, and particularly so when performed live. His recent visit to the DC area was no exception, as Midge enthralled with a set of songs drawn from his solo career and his time as frontman for UK quartet Ultravox.

In 1998, British synthpop trio Saint Etienne released Good Humor, their fourth album, to massive acclaim. Songs like “Sylvie” remain the most popular in the band’s catalog. And so to mark the 20th anniversary of the album, Saint Etienne will undertake a US tour in its honor, including a stop at Union Stage on Friday, Sept. 7.
