In February, folk trio Mountain Man released a new digital single, covering John Denver! “We love John Denver so much we gave Alex his haircut, and recorded a few of his legendary tunes too,” the band says. Perhaps they will play the songs, “Take Me Home, Country Roads” and “Around and Around,” in their appearance at The Barns at Wolf Trap on Friday, March 29.

I caught onto Chai in November 2018 and thought that I had to go really far to see them live, but luckily I only needed to catch the metro to Union Stage. Den-Mate and Haiku Hands started the night off amazingly and hope to see them again very soon. After the openers, the crowd started to chant out C-H-A-I, and I was ready for their set to begin.

Todd Snider came to The Birchmere stage on Monday barefoot, accompanied by his adorable dog, Cowboy Jim, who also answers to “Bear.” As Cowboy Jim laid down, Todd said, “If you think he’s trained, just wait until he licks his balls.”
