Norwegian singer-songwriter Thomas Dybdahl brought his soothing folk sound to DC for a solo performance at Songbyrd Music House recently. A small yet enthusiastic and devoted crowd welcomed Thomas to the dimly-lit stage in the basement venue at Songbyrd.

The devil went down to Georgia, but a sweet angel came to Alexandria from Atlanta recently in the form of singer-songwriter Carly Burruss.
Carly is currently touring with Kasey Chambers and provided a warm and energized opening set at The Birchmere on Tuesday.

“I’m starting to think I play more here in this venue than in my hometown,” said Australian country singer-songwriter Kasey Chambers Tuesday at The Birchmere, after she and her Fireside Disciples played “Not Pretty Enough.” Kasey praised The Birchmere, saying that it felt like home — and expressing special appreciation for the venue allowing artists to use its washing machine.

On Monday, Walk the Moon successfully delivered a performance that made everyone at Rams Head Live forget that the week had only just started! Fans did not waste any time getting to the show either as the venue filled in nicely very shortly after the doors opened. The vibe was like that of a weekend show — and by the time Walk the Moon took the stage, the show had sold-out.
