Alt-pop trio Echosmith released their sophomore album Lonely Generation only weeks ago via Echosmith Music. The Californian siblings arrive at 9:30 Club on Wednesday, Feb. 12, for a stop on The Lonely Generation Tour.

Vince Herman is one of the founding members of the Colorado “jamgrass” (bluegrass jamband) group Leftover Salmon. A guitarist and songwriter, Vince has, with mandolinist Drew Emmitt, formed the core of Leftover Salmon for 30 years.

In this conversation, Vince and Parklife DC’s Mark Engleson discuss the band, his influences, the band’s forays into Colorado’s marijuana industry, and his upcoming show with Drew at the City Winery in DC on Tuesday, Feb. 11.

Raphael Saadiq released Jimmy Lee, his fifth studio album, last year, and he’s launched a winter tour in support of it. Raphael appears at 9:30 Club for two shows on Saturday, Feb. 8, and Sunday, Feb. 9. General admission for the Saturday show is sold out, but tickets are still available for Sunday!

Yuna appeared in a special acoustic tour throughout City Winery venues across the country recently. And lucky for DC, it was the last stop on her Rouge Tour. Yuna made this intimate occasion such a pleasure and the audience got a better sense of the thoughts behind her music with commentary throughout the set.

Eclectic blues/hip-hop artist G. Love was in DC recently with his band, Special Sauce, to play two shows at The Hamilton Live. The performances were part of a winter tour in support of his new album The Juice, which was released Jan. 17 via Philadelphonic/ Thirty Tigers.

Calexico and Iron & Wine first made an artistic connection with In the Reins, the 2005 EP that brought Sam Beam, Joey Burns, and John Convertino together. In 2019, the two acts collaborated again for Years to Burn, a full-length album. Calexico and Iron & Wine then launched a North American tour together, and they perform at The Anthem on Friday, Feb. 7.
