Michael Lamar White IV, better known as Trippie Redd, will perform at The Fillmore Silver Spring on Monday, March 11. The rapper rescheduled the show on his Life’s a Trip Tour after catching the flu last month! He’s hot off the release of his debut album, Life’s a Trip, and third mixtape, A Love Letter to You 3, both released last year via Caroline Records.

Recently at U Street Music Hall, SHAED (pronounced shade) took the stage to a packed crowd. It was a hometown show, and so it is always nice to come home and play with your closest friends and family. Interestingly enough, the first time I saw SHAED was not in DC but all the way in Chicago at Mamby on the Beach in 2017. So, I was glad to see them closer to home.

There’s Friday night music and Saturday night. Friday nights, I’m exhausted from a week at work. I need something low-key, not too aggressive. I got that last Friday with Rosanne Cash, who put on a wonderful evening of songs and stories. Saturday nights I can get rowdy, and Lara Hope & the Ark-Tones brought the party to Villain & Saint in Bethesda.
