Last fall, Danish pop star MØ released When I Was Young (a new EP), and then she announced a joint North American tour with Norwegian producer Cashmere Cat. The duo booked a date at 9:30 Club on Monday, Jan. 22, and that sold out — so they booked a second date on Tuesday, Jan. 23. You can win tickets to go with Parklife DC!

Courtship perform at 9:30 Club on Jan. 8, 2018.
Micah Gordon of Courtship was excited to open The Wombats at 9:30 Club recently, telling the audience that they’ve been a favorite band of his since he was in eighth grade, when he would hide in his basement at home to listen to them.
So it was certainly the fulfillment of a dream for Los Angeles electropop duo Courtship (often stylized as “courtship.”) to perform in the sold-out show on Monday, Jan. 8, the first stop on a North American tour for The Wombats.

In a sold-out show at The Anthem on Wednesday, The Killers reminded us that they hail from Las Vegas — and in Las Vegas, folks know how to put on a big, stupendous show. Frontman Brandon Flowers and company brought it all — great music, neon videos, and gold suits — in support of touring their fifth studio album, the aptly named Wonderful Wonderful.

Matthew Murphy, vocalist of The Wombats, dedicated “Turn,” his band’s latest single, to his newlywed wife during his show on Monday before launching into the sunny song and its salute to love.
The sold-out audience at 9:30 Club was eager for the new single, and delighted squeals greeted the announcement of the song, which came toward the end of a set where the upbeat UK post-punk trio reminded us that they are a really damn good live act.
